Our Process

As of 2010 CEAR is employing the first of its kind electrical and electronic scrap processing technology in our plant. Our integrated recycling system, or the Big Green Machine as we refer to it, uses the most innovative e-waste recycling technology available.

The Dismantler QZ applies chains and a spinning chamber to break down the electronic materials by liberating them from their weakest point, rather than cutting the e-waste as with a traditional knife shredder. The Big Green Machine concentrates on breaking down the electronic materials into their composite parts in a single step and creates very clean metal fractions such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum etc… Capacitors and batteries remain undamaged if they are mixed in and can be separated easily.

This means quicker access to the dismantled materials while simultaneously avoiding the possible escape of hazardous substances. In other words, no potentially hazardous material such as batteries and capacitors will be cut as they would with a knife shredder. Our entire system uses much less energy than a traditional knife shredder and overall is the most environmentally sound technology available. The Green Machine not only goes well above and beyond United States EPA standards it is also compliant with the European Union’s WEEE directive.
