Being an active part of the community is one of the most important aspects of our business. Many of our partners are local small businesses and non-profit organizations including youth groups, schools churches and hospice donation centers.
We encourage the reuse of electronic products through donations to over a dozen different hospices throughout the central valley, Sacramento and El Dorado County areas. If outdated electronics go to the donation centers, their team may be able to refurbish and resell the items. If they are not able to be resold or are end-of-life, we recycle the materials and a portion of the proceeds goes to the organization cause. Our activity throughout our community can be found on any given Saturday in the warm months at our e-waste collection events. Recently our Boy Scout Troop, through their amazing event planning and dedication, collected enough e-waste to raise $8,000.00 for their troops. Educating our community on the environmental impacts of recycling is an ongoing process through presentations and symposiums.
CEAR employs over 40 members of our community who, through hard work and dedication, diverted over15 million pounds of e-waste from our states landfill just last year.
